What did you eat today? What did you build?
A quick word for every founder, builder, and tech-curious soul reading this on a Monday.
Let me tell you how my Monday started.
A good plate of Eba and Ogbono soup. No apologies. That thing hit different, the kind of meal that doesn’t just fill your stomach, it clears your head. By the time I was done, I was ready to think, write, build. Fully loaded.
And it got me thinking about you. 😫
You cannot pour from an empty pot. Feed yourself — your body, your mind, your vision.
Mondays have this reputation, like they’re supposed to feel heavy. Like the weekend just ended and now you owe the world something. But I think Mondays are actually the most honest day of the week. Nobody is pretending. The work is right there in front of you. And all you have to do is start.
So here are two questions I want you to sit with today:
What did you eat today? I’m serious. Are you taking care of the machine? Your best ideas don’t come from a depleted body. Eat well. Rest. You are not built to run on fumes.
What did you build today? It doesn’t have to be big. It doesn’t have to be perfect. One line of code. One conversation with a potential user. One problem written down clearly. One step. That is building. That counts.
I’m also a builder, hehe, yes, this newsletter counts, and I know how easy it is to let Monday slide into Tuesday before you’ve done anything meaningful. Don’t let it. The week has already started. You’re already in it.
Do not relent. Work hard. Eat well. The people you look up to? They had Mondays too.
Make this one count. I’m always here cheering you on.
